Does Danny( or Wyc ) read this forum? There are people in this forum giving good ideas about trades, tactics etc. But I ma not sure that this "voice of Cs fans" means something for danny and ownership///

No.  While Jeff, the moderators, and a select few readers are knowledgeable, most readers who post here are green-teamers that over-value the C's players and come up with some pretty horrendous trade ideas.  Danny Ainge would have another heart attack if he read a few of these threads.

Hey!  I know for a fact that at least one of my own horrendous trade ideas received at tommy point from DA this year.  He sent me a private message afterwards and made me promise not to tell anyone.

Was it Kevin McHale to Dallas? I heard Danny was a big proponent of that deal...

I think there are just as many people here who undervalue our players as there are people who overvalue them.

Not even close.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Also (hopefully this isn't a company secret) the team's lawyers have contacted us a couple of times in the past, about our logo and the types of merchandise we were selling in the (ill-fated) CelticsBlog store.

I wonder how many thousands of dollars that cost Wyc in legal fees.  Certainly more than the organization ever lost because of our old logo.

I don't know about the forums, but members of the Celtics front office and ownership team read the front page, at least from time to time.

Former GM Chris Wallace is the only one I know who has ever posted in the forums, as he thanked the fans on his way out of town.

Roy, do we have a link to this letter Wallace wrote anywhere? I'd be interested in seeing it.

I doubt either of *them* do, but I'd be surprised if somebody in Celtic Management isn't assigned that job. Forums like this one are a good way to keep a finger on the pulse of the fanbase, and keeping a finger on that pulse helps the team make money. I also suspect there are fans who work for the Celtics that keep an eye on the forums, maybe even occasionally post.

OTOH, I doubt anybody in the Celtics organization reads this forum seeking advise on *how* to run any part of the team or operations. Anything we can think of they probably have already thought of...and usually rejected. :)

Sadly, it got lost when our forums melted down in April (?) 2007.

I  remember years ago reading that Ainge starts his day reading Hoopshype.com to get an idea about what's happening around the league.

I'm not surprised the Celtics would be very careful to protect their brand from infringement, so I'm sure they have some intern assigned to peruse the fan sites regularly for infringements.

I'd be surprised if Ainge took the time to  peruse fan sites like this one.  I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the owners check them out, just to take the pulse of their fans.  I know one of the minority owners, and the next time I see him, I'll ask him.

How sad! It would have been interesting to see what a true insider had to say if anything.

Of course they don't. And the president doesn't read the papers and the Church never watches the news and Fortune 500 firms don't check their twitters or facebook accounts.

Who knows about Wyc.  He calls up Felger and Mazz every now and then to give his 2 cents.

I get the feeling that he's a bit of a basketball nerd like the rest of us here, i wouldn't be suprised if he happened to find his way onto this site one boring afternoon.

wyc's the man!

yes, I called Danny today while I was watching the summer league game and gave him my opinions. He told me he scans the board when brainstorming.
LET'S GO CELTICS!
