And let's not rule out that Lin may get voted onto the starting lineup due to his crazy popularity.  Remember what happened with Yao (not to mention the likes of Dan Majerle and BJ Armstrong).

I think this year will be a battle between Rondo and Deron Williams...

DRose will not be the same after that ACL tear, not to mention even if he was, he will be out til mid-season

And let's not rule out the fact that not only could Lin be voted to the All Star team ahead of Rondo, so could Rose, even if he's not playing.  Rose would get replaced, but these are two variables in him getting chosen at all

Jeremy Lin will get it. If Yao's name was put on the ballot today he'd probably get all of China to vote for him as the West's starting center.

Though isn't Lin Taiwanese? That may play a factor.

Rondo gets craped on just about every year. It's like he gets over looked EVERY SINGLE YEAR its sad when people ask "who is the best point guard?" and no one (expect boston fans) say rondo! All people care about is what PG can score lol. What about assist and steals? wait...what about rebounds? People are forgetting what makes a HOF PG

My point is that I think that's bound to change this year.  Based on last year's playoff performance, his national pub. is going to be at an all time high.
I agree
After his performance last playoffs and him getting triple doubles like it was going out of style (many talk about this) his stock went very high. It's like after 2010 playoffs his stock rose and he was in fact the top voter for All Star starter for a while before Derrick Rose took it in the end.
If he consistently plays well next season and the team is winning games I think he will be the starter.
