Ive seen them play last season. And Ive seen them play yesterday's game. Although its a small sample size but I think we need to let them go.

What do you guys think?

People these days are so quick to call someone a bust these days. I dont get it THe sample size is so small that you cant call either a bust just yet. So if Moore and JJJ come out and ball tommorow are the allstars? No bc the sample size is just to small just yet, same goes for the regular season last year and its only summer league.

I just dont get JJJs deer in the headlights look when playing. he seems so uncoordinated and out of sync. Moore just tries so hard. Lets just hope it pans out.

JJJ shot is just so funky i don't see him ever being able to get off a shot in the nba unless he gets a killer Jab step or can just blow by guys off the dribble (which he cant)

Why dont people like Moore??? Like I said in the chatroom he can be the next Delonte West. Combo guard that GETS BUCKETS. hes a good offensive player can shoot or put it on the deck.

Bust? What were the expectations? Both would probably be pretty nasty overseas, actually.

Off the top of my head, I think the best Johnson looked last year was against Memphis, and for Moore it was the Orlando game.  Neither of them got a boat load of time last year, a real training camp, or very much practice time.  I'm not going to toss them away because I haven't seen them look great in limited reg. season play and 1 summer league game.

I think Avery Bradley proved that you show young guys a little patience, especially when they have little to no practice time. It's not like we have a lot of better options at the end of the roster.

^What he and the guy before him said^

And, Jajuan had to create his own shot today. He's had to shoot off the dribble pretty much the entire game.

As some have noted, Moore looked better as a spot up shooter today than a shot creator.

Neither are superstars but can be/ are already nice complimentary pieces.

Defense.  Delonte is good at it, Moore isn't.

In response to the original topic:

I can't say I like what I've seen of either of the two.  JaJuan seems like a tweener to me.  He's too thin to play the four, and it's more than a matter of simply gaining weight or strength - he has a high center of gravity and post players will be able to move him simply by gaining leverage.  I also don't think he's quick enough to play SF, although the jury is still out on this one.  Add that to the fact that I don't think he'll score enough to make up for his shortcomings.  He needs to clean up that jumpshot, find a quicker release (or at least get more accurate with the shot that he has - Bass proves that you don't need a quick shot to be an effective shooter).  Also, develop a face-up game going to the basket.  He should be able to outquick most 4's and then use his athleticism to score over defenders at the rim.

E'Twaun Moore doesn't run the offense well enough to be a PG, doesn't score well enough to be an SG, and can't defend either of the two.  He has a better shot of making it as a shooting guard, but he really needs to work - he takes too many bad shots and misses too many good shots at this point.  At best I see him as a gun off the bench, but I have a hard time envisioning him as a real weapon - not on the level of Jet, Ben Gordon, Jamal Crawford or any guys like that.

Too soon to consider them busts, and in E'Twaun's case I don't think anything is expected of his draft position anyway.  But at this point, I see more reasons for concern than I do reasons for optimism.

wait until preseason games... this kids haven't had a training camp.

JJJ needs to play with a real poing guard and he'll be more than decent.

Moore is a 2, yesterday he was trying too hard, forcing shots instead of letting the shots come to him through ball movement. I hope he learns his role because the kid can shoot.

E'twuan has to be a better facilitator if he wants to make our roster.  We have no use for a scoring PG to backup Rondo.

Moore was such a low pick I don't consider him a bust, just doesn't look like he's a NBA level player. I don't have a lot of hope for him.

JJJ I'm concerned about, but I think his physical potential is still there.

A second round pick actually making an NBA roster can't be considered a bust.
