Sean Williams is a meathead. Anyone catch his three point attempt early in the shot clock early in the 3rd quarter? Seconds later he was riding pine.
That sequence defines Sean Williams as an NBA player. Absolutely clueless about what he can do, what he should do and what he does do.
Not that he's a genius, but it's more likely that he knew he was coming out so he threw up that shot than he got yanked for it. It's not like that play was aggregiously worse than many other plays that *didn't* get people yanked.
Maybe. I doubt it. In these Summer Games, and the announcers said it over and over again during yesterday's broadcasts, you have to do what you are good at doing.
If you are Sean Williams, get down low, block shots, grab rebounds, play good interior defense, run on the break, look for easy putbacks and down low offense.
Bouncing outside and taking three pointers early in the shot clock is by no means what you do if you are Sean Williams and, I'm sorry, but he needs to use his head if he is ever to play the NBA game.
