WOW. I really thought Love was a better soldier (and more savvy) than this. Before Rubio got hurt, the Wolves were must-see TV. They have an exciting nucleus; they just need some shooters. It must be frustrating to see all of the superstars building their cliques, but saying stuff like this now only poisons the well

I wish McHale was still in charge over there.  :)

Well, in three seasons we will only have Green on the books for about 10.5 million by that time assuming his contract increases in value during its lifetime.

This is getting annoying.  Kevin, guess who a large part of the responsibility for turning the T-Wolves into a playoff contender falls on?  You.

This kind of nonsense is why I've always had such a lot of respect for Derrick Rose.  He went to work in his rookie season and led a fairly sub-par Bulls team to the playoffs right away.  Even now, the Bulls don't have the most talent in the world, but I've never heard Rose complain.  He's aware of his responsibility to that franchise, and he carries it exceptionally well.

Get back soon, D-Rose.

If I were Minnesota, I'd start evaluating Kevin Love's trade value right now and be willing to deal him right now if someone gave me a comparable individual talent/prospect in return. If not, I would continue to monitor his trade value for the next few years until I find a good trade package for him.

Better to bring someone else in that will allow you to, will give you time, to build around him than someone who has a strong likelihood of bailing on you in the next few years.

TP. Kevin Durant as well. Westbrook wasn't always Westbrook and same goes for Harden.

I can understand a player of Love's caliber not wanting to spend his career on a non playoff team. However, I think these players need to realize if they play their cards right and work hard they can lead their non playoff teams into the playoffs, attract other FAs and eventually become title contenders.

Don't be Lebron, Kevin. Be Magic, Bird, and Jordan

Hmm, what prospect would be available for him though? Trying to look for potential trade partners and I'm having a tough time making it attractive to both sides.

This would be such an amazing improvement...

Wouldn't Washington offer Bradley Beal + Okafor + a (much better) first round draft pick or 2 though?

Cleveland would throw a good offer out there too... Varejao + T. Thompson + Zeller + a future draft pick

I'm really not liking this new trend of demanding trades. Contracts are becoming a moot point. Players now sign extensions knowing they can just force a trade later.

Bynum for Kevin Love makes a lot of sense if the Lakers can move Gasol for perimeter help . James Harden Gasol trade?

This is hilarious.  I was just reading up on the Batum situation.  Apparently, he's made some comments that he's tired of Portland and is dying to go to Minnesota to team up with Love and Rubio.  Love, on the other hand, is frustrated in Minnesota and may want out before too long.

And, in other news, Ricky Rubio has given up and wants to go back to Spain.  He will only continue his NBA career if he can be a Heat or a Laker (O.K., I made that one up).

C'mon, all you gutless, cry babies.  It's time to collectively "man up."

These spoiled brats are going to end up ruining the league.

I hate that. He just signed a contract extension less than a year ago. If you feel that way, don't sign the contract or at least don't sign as long of a deal.

Whiny little so-and-so.

Love was a restricted free agent when he signed his contract, and the Wolves had no intention of letting him go.

So Love decided to take very short deal for a max player so that he could leave as soon as possible, a 4 year deal with an opt out after 3.

I think Love's brother insinuated that Love would be gone after 3 years unless the team made drastic improvement.

I have no problem with this. If I were an NBA player with as much talent as Love, why would I want to waste my prime playing for a terribly run franchise. The Wolves have botched so many draft picks and signings.
