C's are already over the cap - hence using MLE to sign JET. They cannot use cap space and MLE in same season.

I think Williams, Moore, and JJJ get you about $4m in matching salary - and I think they are all on team options for next year. So no skin off the receiving teams back. Dooling can be signed for 3m and traded with $3m in cash. That gets you near $8m coming back. If they are willing to trade AB, that gets you over $8m.

If they did this for say Camby and Lee, coming back at 8m they could probably still have around 6m for Kristic or the BAE, but probably not both.

The way I see it, we need to sign a third-string PG, backup SG, and backup C.

My guess would be these positions would be staffed by Dooling, Pietrus and one of Stiemsma/Hollins/Krstic. Of course, Ainge may still pull a rabbit out of a hat, but we don't have too much to work with there.

He might pull a rabbit out of the hat, and I'd say the majority of posts here are about various hopes for who that rabbit will be. But the likelier scenarios involve signing players who were recently on the team (and potential vet min players).

If we constrain ourselves to that, my dream scenario would involve:

Center: one of Wilcox, Krstic
PG: Dooling
SG: range of options here at vet min/BAE, including Sonny Weems, Deshawn Stevensen, Michael Redd, Delonte West
SF: Pietrus

I could see Moore, JJJ, Williams going to Houston in a deal for Courtney Lee on a 3 year $10 million sign and trade.

Lee is a good size 2 guard with very good defensive skill that can hit the three and put points on the board. Much better than Moore will ever be and all it is going to cost the Celtics is JJJ who is more than expendable with pro-ready Sullinger aboard.

I'm guessing Danny and Austin are in JuJuans ear hoping he does well in the Summer Leaugue games as a potential trade chip
