There's half of me that feels like he betrayed us and joined our enemy to get back at us. Then there's the other half that feels like the Celtics got what was coming to them for trying to trade him last season.
But, I try to look in the middle and see from his point of view. Maybe he felt that he wanted security and to feel wanted. Miami Heat, as much I hate them, could have gave a great presentation as the defending champs.
Pat Riley and his staff must have really impressed Ray Allen to make this decision. Still, I will miss him very much and thank him for the 5 great years he gave to the Boston Celtics. Instead of looking at it from a negative view like he wanted to leave because of his relationship to Rondo, going to the bench after being injured, or nearly being traded at the trade deadline. Look at what he brought to this team and what he sacrificed to help us win a championship. No Ray Allen, No Paul Pierce, No Kevin Garnett, or No Rajon Rondo we wouldn't have Banner #17. His legacy should be remembered as being one of the deadliest 3 point shooters in NBA history.
