No. The mere fact that we are discussing this is annoying. He is not on our team anymore, let's move on.

Is only a verbal deal.

I understand. The same way every free agent deal thus far has been verbal. If the question is "Is it possible?" Sure. It is possible.

If the question is "Will it happen?" The answer is no.

No personal offense meant

He could, not sure how I'd feel about him changing his mind or how the organization would feel. I'm a forgiving guy though, but I've 99% moved on. But only for the sake of my memories, I hope he changes his mind. Maybe not to return to the Celtics but just go somewhere else, please God make it happen.

Yes, he technically can. No, he won't.

There's no way he changes his decision now.  With that said, if he did change his mind at the last second I think we would all welcome him back to Boston.  I'm sure he would make a brief apology to the Heat and then talk about all of the things he couldn't leave behind in Boston.  Of course this isn't likely to happen though.

No contracts can be signed until the 11th...so technically, yes he can.

And I for one would happily forget this ever happened if he did.

Yep, if he hangs out with Dwight.

In a complete dream situation.....

Ray Allen verbally commits to the HEAT. Has dinner with Riley and Spolestra, hangs out with LeBron, goes to Disney land with Wade.

Then on July 11, he walks into Riley's office with a HEAT jersey in hand, throws it at Riley and tells him to go to hell. He pauses, takes off his jacket revealing a Celtic jersey and screams, "UBUNTU!" And signs with Boston.

a verbal deal is still enforced,  he already agreed so he has to sign it or it is a breach of contract
