Of course he is going to say that b/c he's a free agent and knows there a spot open after Ray left

In most cases, I would think those were somewhat empty words, but Mickael Pietrus has talked about how much he loves being a Celtic since the day he signed here.  I wholeheartedly believe him.

I wonder who the teams are that are offering him more money.

It would be kind of funny (in a sickening way) if Pietrus went to the Lakers after Ray went to Miami. Good fit for LA with the mini-MLE.

I don't know what other contenders would be after him. Miami just spent their money. San Antonio has no need for him. Oklahoma doesn't have enough minutes to offer. I think Pietrus would have to go a lesser team. Indiana would be a good fit behind Granger + George. The Knicks could be a good home also; they need a replacement for Landry Fields. Maybe Memphis (replace Mayo) or the Clippers (starting SG). I don't think Dallas or Denver will pursue him.

Yeah, Indiana is the team I expect to go after him.  Some money to burn and a big hole behind their starting wings.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

BRING HIM BACK!

HE'S NOT A SELFISH TRAITOR LIKE RAY ALLEN!
PEACHES HAS CELTIC PRIDE AND DERSERVES TO BE HER
You don't know, and I don't know why Ray left. I do  know that he has been warrior since he got to Boston, and gave  above and beyond  last year when he first came off the bench and then play ed on ankles with spurs.  He gave five great years to the Celtic, including being the reason  we signed KG, and a championship banner.  How many of us can say we have never left a job, for any reason, but always stayed out of pure loyalty?

he gave us alot these past 5 years...hes still a traiter though.

just like Johnny damon was, and he gave the red-sox a championship

Snively, You are entitled to your opinion.  Haters gotta hate.  I just think life is too short.   Besides that, I am still in denial!

Only if he's willing to accept the BAE (bi-annual exception).

Otherwise, nice knowing you Peaches. I'd rather sign Wilcox and have Marquis at the vet. minimum, if Peaches doesn't sign.
he signed da vets min last year tho lls

Eh don't throw him under the bus.  Already did do the cheap thing once for us.  Dude loves it here I give him a lot of respect for that.

He doesn't have many pay days left at 30.

If his heart is still here than he should come back at an affordable price.  He didn't exactly play himself into a solid contract last season.

Also, how can you not love his passion for being a Celtic?  Just hearing him talk about the tradition and passion for banner 18 has made him one of my favorite players.  He has an unbelievable understanding of what it means to be a true Celtic.

TP. I love his passion for the team and that's definitely one of the reasons I'd love to have him back.  I think his love for KG alone is worth brining him back.

But he's gotta be willing to come back for something that makes sense for the team.  I personally don't think he's worth more than $3 million.

Pie should BE rehired .  Is isn't the most graceful looking player, or the most gifted.  But he is Boston style , grind it out player.

What he is ... he is good people

He takes whatever tuff job Doc gives him , an throws 110% into it.  The result sometimes is lacking, but not for lack of effort .

He has been injured too...he has a tuff lockdown defense he can bring off the bench to harass a player like Allen , Kobe or Rose.  Hope he can fully recover from the beating he took last season.

He is tall enought and HEAVY built enough to knock heads with the small forwards and large D WIll shooting  guards.  He is a fighter

We  "NEED"  his services.

One year deal with a player option using non-Bird rights to give him a slight raise.  If he is injured or declines, he can cash in his option.  If not, he can decline his option and the Celtics have his early Bird rights and either give him money or S&T him.

Pietrus came here for the vet min last year.  I know he was dumped by PHX and he was hurt but it is not like he held us up for money.

He'll come here for $1.4M.
