look, Rondo is doc's extension on the court. If Ray had a problem taking orders from someone "younger than him" he has a skewed view of his role in the NBA today...

I will tell you a similar case. In 2009 FC Barca, signed striker Ibrahimovic. He did the same thing like Rondo, bossing  the coach around and some importnt players of the team. What FC Barca did? They kicked out Ibrahimovic...

Yes this is not "football" though. The NBA game is a whole different animal than european soccer. The concepts of who runs the team and who bows to who in terms of power share are not even close to similar. You need to realize that.

You wrong man. Every collective sport has the same way of managing things. So, you have to realize and understand that in collective sport the team have to work as a team, everybode has to play his role. Who boss around or put 'ego-pressure" will be kicked out.

You're not getting it. It is literally Rondo's job to direct his teammates out on the floor and call plays. It's not his ego and he's not "bossing them around". His teammates and coaches trust him to make the right decisions. This is what good point guards do. Chris Paul does it. Steve Nash does it.

If I will "agree" with your idea, so, there no point to have a coach...the coach has to be the point guard... ::)

What exactly would you say Garnett's role is on offense? Is it the same on every offensive possession? On a given possession should he set a pick, stand on the perimeter in an open spot and wait for a pass to take a jumper, or go close to the basket? Is what Ray does on a given play dependent on which of those roles KG fills on that play? Does he try and get open by cutting across the lane when nobody's there to set a pick for him?

Everyone has to fulfill a given role on a given play, and somebody has to decide which play the team will run so everyone knows what their role is on that trip down the court. Rondo's the player who decides what play to run. And when you say he'll get kicked out for bossing around the other players, keep in mind he's been doing this for years and the team's had a great deal of success because of it.

Rondo is arguably the "coach" on the floor. If he tells you to get in a spot so he can get you the ball, you get in that spot. If you have a problem with that then the real issue is the insecurity between your ears. This move by ray is more a reflection on himself then it is on Rondo. Go C's!!!
TP....absolutely 1000% correct.

If you are going to compare Rondo to soccer players, try midfield generals like Zidane, Xavi, Oesil, Pirlo, Modric, and (the great and underrated) Mickael Laudrup, not Ibrahimovic.  That's a terrible comparison.
