If they land Dwight Howard, which seems likely at this point, they will be a force for years. Surprised I haven't seen more of this anxiousness...

Nash, Kobe, Hill/Metta, Gasol, Howard = Dynasty

Howard's the only player on your list that will be a force for years.

Only problem is the window is big enough for them to win at least two titles with that starting squad.

Between the Heat, the Thunder, maybe the Bulls and Clippers, and now the Lakers, how many teams am I supposed to worry about reeling off all the titles in the next ten years?

I think we can stay in the mix.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I think that Bulls squad is done and due for a shakeup.

Of all those teams we only need to get by the cHeat and Bulls (MAYBE both in the same playoffs) and one from the west... I'm not worried about losing to them in the regular season.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

So, roughly the same window as our starting squad.

Yup, there's no doubt they'd be pretty scary with that mix of players.  It all depends on how quickly they can mesh and understand their roles, which will all probably be reduced from what they are used to be when they were the leaders of their respective teams.  Once that happens though, watch out cause they're gonna be real good.

Let's hope they don't end up getting Dwight.

I don't concur, adding Nash means more regular seasons wins, however, come playoff time, he's a defensive sieve and won't be effective once the pace is slowed down and he can't have the in-transition offense in full force.

With Howard, the Lakers simply shift their focus from Kobe ball to the Nash feeding Howard down low type of game. KG is already adept at keeping Howard out of his shooting comfort. Soon, others will learn to do the same in the WC. For Kobe, any offensive which doesn't start with him is anathema. He wants the offensive to continually flow through him, using Nash or Howard, when double teamed.

To be honest, I don't think Kobe and Dwight can co-exist. I think it'll be a 2004 LA team all over again. *crosses fingers*

TP. Completely agree. Outside of Derrick Rose, they have a ton of overachievers. (Boozer, Deng, Noah, Korver)
