I'm not saying he has to be Ray Allen but I hope he gets off to a great start so Ray's departure is easier to swallow.

Hopefully with Ray gone it didn't open up a new can of worms like when Perk left with everybody feeling different emotionally, or a certain way toward Rondo.

I am not sure if I rather have anyone else to fill Ray's shoes. JT can bring it. Unleash the Jet.

i'm thinking rondo steps up in a big way.  with he and ray fighting all the time, it couldn't have been a good dynamic for the team or rondo's confidence.

I'm no longer a ray allen fan. Sure i respect his game but that's where it ends. I love JET, huge fan of his. I honestly think this is an upgrade over ray at this point. Once the drama dies down people will see we are still good enough to compete with the heat. As long as we have no serious injuries of course our playoff lineup will be *8/9 man rotation* Paul pierce, KG, brandon bass, rondo, ab. And the bench players Jason terry, Jeff green, MP/Sullinger. Idk if we are signing wilcox back or not but that's a championship team IMO.

Jason Terry is Jason Terry, not Ray Allen. There's one thing Jet isn't better at doing but there are numerous things that he is better at.

I also completely buy the Rajon/Ray stuff. Ray clearly had personal issues with Rondo's step up and how it affected his value/importance to the team.

Yep, and then when the even younger AB came and took his starting role, he couldn't deal with that either.  The dude always came across as a self-important prig to me, but I didn't think he'd end up being this brittle.

Jet can create his own shot, dribble, and pass. Ray can do non of those. I'm happy to have the Jet, we do need another guard though.

Perk was different. it was in the middle of the season, and it wasn't his choice.

I think this burns PP and KG. Not because he left, but because he went to the Heat. They have the summer to get over it, and the preseason to use it as fuel. To say Ray has a better shot at a ring in Miami will get this team pumped.

I think they still need a bigger 2 to come off the bench for D reasons and the beginning of the season. I don't think Jet was Rays replacement, but a  piece that has been needed for a while now...BENCH SCORING!

Very true, Danny has said today were looking for a SG. I am curious what his thoughts are well know soon enough something tells me he's going to throw Ray under the bus.

Danny Ainge said he won't talk about loss of Ray Allen until moratorium ends July 11 but he did say #celtics are searching for shooting guard. More to come
