Im so p---ed hes not gonna be in a celtics jersey

but please tell me

If Bradley guards Ray, who will guard Wade when they go that lineup?
With those ankles, a chair will guard Ray.
Bradley will not only guard Wade, but also embarrass him.

I see this as great motivation for both Avery and Jason, and Ray's defensive skills aren't much either one of them has to worry about.

No doubt Ray will get his shot up sometimes, but he no longer has a guy like Rondo to feed him the ball when and where he needs it, and his game will suffer for it.

No matter what they do in Miami, his role is just not going to pan out as much as he's expecting, and I believe his numbers are going to drop significantly ... at both ends.

I'm sure he'll enjoy the Miami weather, though, and those warm and fuzzy South Beach fans.  ::)

Great post. We have the right to be p---ed about Ray for a couple of days, but soon it is time to focus on the guys that want to play here, including JET, who is a better fit for our team.  I wish Ray had stayed, but more for the fact that Miami wouldnt have him than for the fact of us having him.

Great post Bahku.  This wound is fresh and yet as always you approach these things with the right amount of balance.  TP.

Bakhu,

Your brand of optimism and Celtic pride is always impressive.

The Jet has landed, and I, too, am excited about it.

I think this all could be a blessing in disguise.

The C's are scheduled to have some pre-season games in Europe this year.  Maybe they should have camp there too.

By purging the bad seed (Ray) and bringing in some new guys who want to be here coupled with the returning players, we have a chance to establish a new "Ubuntu" with this group.

  • It's what I do! It's who I am!
Terry is about the best replacement for Ray we could ask for. His only downside is the 3rd year on his deal.

Exactly how I feel ... I get the feeling that Danny, et al, had a pretty good feeling for Ray's leaving long before it happened, and Jason Terry was insurance, (but just about the best insurance we could find at the Two coming off the bench). Just that third year that's kind of iffy.

Thanks for the props, guys, (Prof, C18, etc.).
