I can't escape the thought every time I think about it.  I mean, the decision to return can't be that hard; can it?

I mean, the Cs offer more money, loves playing with PP and KG, he is from the area, loves playing for Doc. Has got a legit shot at a title.

Pat Raley wasn't in Miami when Ray landed!!!

So, what makes it so hard to return Ray?  Is it Rondo?

.....it just makes me wonder.

The overly positive thought.

a)  He is going to resign with Celtics.

b)  He is making them worry about it just like he was worried about being traded.

c)  He is stringing along the enemy, keeping them from signing someone else until the best options are gone.

Well, I am allow to dream.

yes it can be hard......he has just as good a chance to win in miami as he does in Boston. he has warmer weather there....there are pros and cons to everything. Do not make it like it is a no brainer...it isn't. Sure we would like it to be, but this guy has to decide on a plethora of things for his family's future and his own.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

We probably had 8-9 free agents, every one but Ray would rather play in Boston than anywhere else. Can't be that much of a pain playing with an unselfish point guard who's arguably the best passer in the game.

Rondo, Ray beef is overblown.

Ray is milking his 15seconds in the spotlight. The most coveted FA not named Deron Williams. Making Celtics sweat, a little payback for having his name dangled in trade rumors.

I'm skeptical when it comes to rumors, but I'm starting to believe that there was/is some "beef" between these two.

And that's sad.

I say this because I wonder what reason would Ray still have for him to be considering MIA?

And what in the world could Rondo's issue be with Ray?

Why don't folks just relax about this?

Just give Ray the time to think through the situation.  Sure, he may end up in Miami, chances are though that he ends up back with the Cs.  I don't think this is Ray "stringing the Celtics along" he's just doing his due diligence. Patience.

I've had a couple of job offers in hand before, and it is only common sense to kick the tires and do due diligence. Sometimes you know in your gut which way you will go, but you still take few moments to completely suss out the situation.
Celtics fan for life.

Its out now, Ray has been undercover on a secret mission..a dangereous journey south for Danny to infiltrate the EVIL EMPIRE of South Beach...  to steal any secrets from Rileys front office.  another MISSION IMPOSSIBLE  ,  Ray pretending to want be a heatle...meantime...Ray sabatoged the heat team water cooler , took SOBOTS secret LBJ   playbook marked " FOR HIS EYES ONLY"   ::)

He also is to have reportively stolen LeBrons favorite head band . the one that creeps up his head every game. It was soaked with Afro sheen ::) messed up Ray Rays favoite suit coat.

fixed

For all the reasons you just mentioned proves it won't be a Rondo problem. Who leaves that because of one guy?

I don't think it was Rondo.  I think it was the continual trade rumors.

To repost this yet again, this is what Ray said about his goals in free agency:

Quote
I wouldn’t be surprised, but I don’t want to go into this season, like I have in past seasons, worrying about whether I was going to be traded or not. At this point we want to ride it out, take this thing to the house, and not have the instability of knowing whether today or tomorrow something is going to happen

"For all of us, you deal with that over the course of your career, but wherever I end up after this summer, that has to be the No. 1 mandate. At this time I owe it to my family to be ultimately selfish, because I’ve been a very unselfish team player, and I’ll always do that. But when it comes to myself and my family, I have to make sure that I don’t rock their worlds or put them off kilter in any fashion.".

he was offered a no trade clause

Wojo twitter feed

----------------------------------------------------

The deterioration of Ray Allen's relationship with Rajon Rondo played a significant factor in his leaving for Miami, several sources tell Y!

-----------------------------------------------------

It's the throwing rondo under the bus for telling doc he aught to be benched that the really offensive act. Ray was past it and wanted to blame rondo for it, good riddance i say.

the only fanbase that can watch one of the key players in the past 5 years of the franchise sign with the most despicable team in the league and then find a way to blame it on our incredible point guard who is fiercely loyal to this team.
