Just saw this on Twitter.  Would make for an interesting backup back court.

From Scott Souza:
Quote
Doc Rivers gushed over Lou Williams in playoffs. Now that he's not going back to Philly, sure #Celtics would love him if Ray Allen leaves.

Williams and Terry backing up Rondo and Bradley.  Talk about high octane guards.
Mock Deadline Denver Nuggets
Nurcic/Henson
Patterson/Bennett/Arthur
Ross/Budinger
Miller/Hunter/Foye
Rubio/Ennis/Bayless

But the only way to get him would be via a sign-and-trade.

Unless the Celtics could rework the Terry deal as a sign-and-trade, to free up the MLE again.

Louis Williams would be a spectacular addition, if Ray leaves, Ainge has to sign this player. He is a player that can do more than what he has done in Philly.

Not coming. I advocated for him hard earlier, but with Terry on board, he would bring overlapping talent. Can't sign him with our current cap situation anyways. [dang] this offseason.

Not sure how much money he would command but probably more than what we are willing to offer

Fellas what about the word rebound. We were horrid in rebounding. Wills is not a rebounder.

We've got 18 big men. How many more do we need? I would love to bring LW in for our #2 unit.

Dude is going to want 6-7 million at least, and how do you make cap room for that? Unfeasible.

Lou Williams is a Gunner - he's shot philly out of more than enough games during his time here (I'm from philly). Not the kind of player I'd want on the roster, esp with Terry onboard and probably JG too

I'd love to have him, but I don't see how it could happen.

yeah we may have several but no true starting center. i know kg did a great job but he doesn't like the position. we should probably at least consider a little what he wants since he's kinda good...

The Bass signing makes me believe KG is staying at center.

A rebounder is needed, but that is not the C's only need. Last year they went through to many scoring droughts. Additionally, the bench provided very little production for the team especially offensively. Adding a player like Lou Williams to play with Jason Terry remedies the bench scoring issues and the scoring droughts.

Additionally , Williams is friends with Rondo and Josh Smith. If C's can get him to commit that could be huge

Everyone shot me down when I said Williams should be added. Now he's a hot commodity now? *Sigh*
