Would love to see Mahinmi with the BAE. I think he's a really well kept secret. Almost like Asik was a few years ago, just waiting to break out. Plus Peaches has the french connection with him! Mahinmi and Steamer (Sometimes Melo) would be a solid center committee for the regular season (Why play KG at C in the regular season? Save that for playoffs. It wears him down)

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Anthony Randolph would be a good add. Has good size - can play the 4 and the 5. As far as wings, Courtney Lee would be a good pickup but I'm not sure what his market value is.

I like Randolph and would love to bring him in but to be realistic, he's essentially the same size as JaJuan Johnson. He's not a 5.
Go Celtics.

He actually played a little at the 5 while he was in Minny, and I thought he held his own. I'm not saying he should start or play major minutes at the 5, but he can play short spurts there to rest (presumably) KG.

Yeah, maybe, I could see him playing alongside a bruiser like Sullinger, though I think then you have to question who's really playing "center". I think he's a useful player. And he's actually about six months younger than Johnson. Would be happy to get him if they could.
Go Celtics.

If Ray walks, JR SMith for the MMLE.  There's talk he's going to re-up for a hair under $3m with the Knicks.  He'll be the only wing with size besides Pierce, and the strong locker room should be able to handle him.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
MP needs to be resigned now that Ray joined the Sith, i mean Heat.

If we can't get MP, I'd really love to have Brandon Rush on this team. He can provide shooting, good defense (good enough) and more rebounding help from the guard position.

We need another big too. Im advocating for a Robin Lopez offer sheet. At least offer him. The dude is slow i know, but is the ultimate role player. He'll rebound, set screens, play defense.

Worth keeping in mind:

The Celtics can offer the BAE or vet min to FAs that are not their own.

The Celtics can offer above that to their own FAs.

The Celtics are constrained in that they cannot go above the ~$73M luxury tax cap.

Given that, the best options for the Celtics at this point seem to be:

(1) resign Jeff Green
(2) resign Krstic, Steemer, Wilcox and/or Hollins -- i.e.: get help at the center spot.
(3) resign bench players like Pavlovic, Pietrus, Dooling.

In other words, the big FA splash of the summer was Jason Terry. Don't expect much more than that.
Celtics fan for life.

I'm actually happy with Jet, Jeff and two of any of those names you just mentioned as our FA's outside of Hollins. Not that I have against him but we drafted Melo already, he can fill in.

There are much better options with the vet's min than Hollins, Pavlovic.
