I'm okay with the moves and all, but [dang] can we get a dude who's going to rebound? No offense to Bass, but he a little undersized and rebounds like a guard/small forward.  Maybe Camby, Ilyasova, Jason Thompson

Just because Sullinger's back may be an issue in the long-term, it doesn't make sense to dismiss the pick as an average 21st pick in an average draft.

Sullinger was the 6th ranked prospect leading into the Combine, and would have gone top 5 last year.

He's an immediate impact player, and possible rookie starter.

And yes, he's a good rebounder out of the gate.

Agreed. There are two things that translate from college to the pros, shooting and rebounding. I'd even go as far as to say that rebounding is the only thing that seems to always convert well. If you are a good-to-great rebounder in college you will rebound in the pros.

I agree! What about a S&T with Golden State for
Andres Biedris (C) and Jeremy Tyson (F/C) for
Brandon Bass (PF) and Nened Kristic (S&T) or JJJ?
GSW has been willing to trade Biedris and Tyson for
the last couple of years. Tyson can be released and
Biedris will give us someone to play Center and allow
KG to play PF full time. He would also give us some
"Bulk" to greet "Queen" James in the Lane! Despite his
faults he is a good rebounder and Shot Blocker. Would
give Melo time to develop.

Very good question, Arnett Moultrie would have fit the bill perfectly but delusional Danny thought 6 rebound per game Thabeet/Melo was better.

Though not a great rebounder Jeff Green will help with our rebounding deficincys. Last year Rondo and pierce where the only wings that rebounded at all so adding jeff to the mix will help.

I also expect Sullinger to be an above average rebounding big from day 1.

The combination of those two should help to make the Cs a near average rebounding team.

Also lets not forget that the Cs offensive style isn't conducive to rebounding and we still managed to get by in the playoffs this past season.

  • It's what I do! It's who I am!
As others have said, hopefully Sullinger gets some time, because being the worst rebounding team in the league is pretty frustrating.

There's nothing like playing 23 seconds of great defense, forcing a team into a bad shot, then they easily get the rebound and try again. Just awful.

I've been beating this drum all year.

I'm totally confused why people think rookies are going to come in and make an impact? Doc rarely gives rookies in playing time, and he will not give them any when the game is on the line and we need that rebound!

We are going to be one of the worse rebounding teams in the league again and it is very frustrating. Our only hope was a S&T for an established veteran rebounder.

Also JjJ is not him either, reports are the C's were not happy with him last year, and I never saw anything to lead me to belief he was a rebounder.
