it was a slim chance before, but no chance if it happens.

There was a chance before hand, even if they didn't get that second ring. Now I really doubt it. Oh well, at least somebody else can have number 20 in the future.

Just give #20 to JET if Ray leaves for Miami.

It wouldn't have happened anyways unless they won 1 more championship together...Then I think they would retire all 3. PP and maybe Rondo are the only ones getting retired.

Idk...They might make an exception for KG as well. Maybe

Lets be honest...No knee injury and the Celtics probably win 3 rings during this era....

*sigh* oh well

I feel pretty confident KG will get his # retired here.  He deserves it.

KG deserves it with his resigning, he just love the celtics and he plays so hard for us.

If Ray Allen leaves, no chance he gets his nr retired.

He will live...especially if he gets another championship ring. I am sure his feelings of loyalty for the Celtics died when they decided they should trade him for Mayo. Now it is about Ray and Ray only. I don't blame him for that at all.

If you knew that your employer had hired someone to replace you only to see the new hire back out, how would you feel? Most people would realize that everyone has to look out for self. That is what Ray is doing.

Ray leaves there is zero chance he is retired in MIA or BOS.  He will be a glorified Steve Kerr type down there.

Totally Disagree with the thread.

I believe (and Hope) that Ray will be back, but God forbid he doesn't?

For me, what he's brought to BOS, along with KG and Paul, will NEVER be forgotten. Because of that, I believe that Ray Allen's #20 will CERTAINLY be raised to the rafters in TD GARDEN one day.

I don't think it should be in the rafters either way. Ray was great while in Boston, but I wish the standards were a little more strict.
