Simple as that...

You've seen it for years, but this year the fans reached to a majority of wanting this guy completely gone...

He was traded for Mayo...he was gone...

He was replaced by Avery Bradley for maybe this reason

Ray was playing well, got injured, team was playing crappy, pierce rondo, and garnett all included...team goes on a run with Bradley, and hey Ray your not as important anymore, so hit the bench buddy.

ITS ALL YOUR FAULT RAY...every year he has become the scapegoat for fans. Its really hard not to invision that Ray feels his time is up with the Celtics, time to hit the bricks Ray.

We dont need you we signed Terry, signed Jeff Green, we got Bradley , we got Rondo....

SO I ask , why even chastize Ray Allen........the writing is on the wall...

Why give him all this trouble, if in reality this what EVERYONE wanted...Celtics too..no matter what they are saying..

Unless everyone wants Ray to play 8 minutes a game, miss big shots and become the scapegoat all over again.

I think Ray finally feels like , these guys want me here. Maybe its time to go no matter the minutes or role. At least im not a back up to a 22 year old 6'3 shooting guard who is a rising PLAYER, but still isnt where Ray is.

I don't buy this, I think they didn't want to overpay for him but they absolutely realize that they are a more deadly team with Ray than playing against him in Miami

I think the team realized that Ray is most beneficial if he comes off of the bench. Ray can not create seperation anymore and thus cant get his own shot. He really struggles driving against defenders and his defense has deterorated signifcantly all in the past few seasons.

I honestly dont think Ray could swallow the thought of being 6th man behind Avery and Rondo stepped up and put him in his place with KG and Paul agreeinig. That would not suprise me.

They still want Ray, he just doesnt (or appears) to not want them.

This is nonsense.  We all want Ray back.  We all also want him to realize that at some point there will be another guard who is better than him at his position, and this guy will be on our team and not an opponent's.  Like, some guy whose name starts with "A" and rhymes with "savory madly."

I think the trade with Memphis last season happened because Ray simply was not going to the bench quietly.  Doc had wanted to move him there for 2 years.  It wasn't because Ray wasn't "wanted," it is because he wouldn't accept a role they wanted to give him.  So they tried to force the issue.  I don't blame Danny for doing that.

Yes we do want Walter Ray Jesus Shuttleworth Allen back in green. He needs to come home and get his cash and shoot those 3s, then retire as part of the greatest franchise in sports history. Then get that number 20 raised to the rafters.

Some people are already doing that with KG so I wouldn't be shocked

This isn't a black or white decision.  Have you ever considered the fact that Danny Ainge places certain values on each player?  What a concept!

The trade rumors and reduction in Ray's minutes have nothing to do with us NOT wanting him.  Over the last two seasons Ray has raised significant interest around the league for a couple of reasons.

1. Any contender can plug him into their lineup and get instant production.  Ray's skill set can benefit ANY team immediately.

2. His contract was easier to deal with in trade scenarios when compared to Pierce and KG's.

Too many people are acting like Danny woke up one day and decided that he wanted Ray gone.  Danny Ainge has done nothing but try to look at the situation with unbiased eyes.

I'm almost positive that Danny wants Ray back on this team badly.  In an ideal world, Ray would accept a new role after realizing we are a better team with Avery in the starting lineup.  Unfortunately things just don't work that way and Ray is obviously hurt by the trade rumors.

At the end of the day I still have some faith that he will be able to look at the situation objectively and come back home to Boston.

I don't believe this for a second.  Might there be other players that Danny would prefer over Ray?  Sure.  That's why he almost traded him a few times (though clearly he didn't prefer them, or trades would've happened).

The difference here is that with the MLE burned, it's the difference between Ray at 2 years 12 million or someone else at the minimum.

That's a huge difference in terms of talent.

Danny most definitely does want Ray back.  No GM would be fool enough to prefer a minimum scrub over Ray Allen.

I think Boston wants him back, but I don't think Ray wants to be back in the now lesser role he'd be in.
