Forget about the terry signing, if the number for green is anywhere near the truth, da would be right up against the 74 mil cap if ray were also included.  This would effectively leave little to no room to sign a single other player (like pietrus or steisma).

That simply can't be can it?  I have to assume da know ray is gone.

Sucks.

DA is operating like he wants the Celtics to be relevant after KG and Pierce retire.

He's operating like every other GM in the league, like the lockout never happened.

Well this isn't necessarily true...the deals for Green and Bass could be backloaded in which would probably give us more money to retain Ray and others

It's either do that or the Atlanta Hawks in early 2000 and that is irrelevant.

There is no Green deal.

Just a rumor with numbers that do not make sense.

We're over the cap so don't think we can get either.

How is Ray screwing around?  I will boo him like crazy if he goes to Miami but what is wrong with him evaluating all options before making a decision?  Danny Ainge has consistently looked into the potential option of trading Ray for the past 2 seasons.

As far as I'm concerned Ray has the right to take as much time as  he wants.  He's been able to get Danny Ainge to commit to 2 year deal and now it sounds like Ainge might give him a no trade clause.

Regardless of his final decision, I can't bash Ray for looking at every option.

Does 2010 NBA finals ring a bell? A midget point guard Derek Fisher completely shutt down Ray Allen. Or title #17 where he was no show for most of the playoffs run.

In all fairness to Ray, Fisher shut him down because Artest kneed Ray in the thigh with a cheap shot in game 3, taking Ray's legs out for the rest of the series.

Considering how Ray won Game 2 for us you have to expect Artest to do that.
