The 2012-13 Celtics season will be upon us sooner than later. Celtics along with other teams are making free agent moves to better and bolster their roster. Now with the signing of Jason Terry, re-signing of Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen possibly breaking separate from the Big 3 era in Boston. The pundits are now coming out in droves to spew their talking points.

So I'm going to give you guys some possible sample talking points regarding the Celtics that you'll probably hear in the upcoming weeks and months.

Quote
ESPN, SB Nation, CBS, NBC Sports, SI, possible talking points:
By signing Jason Terry, the Celtics are getting older.
Why don't they break up the Celtics Big 3, because they're getting older.
Kevin Garnett was re-signed for 3yrs/34mil? He's 36yrs old and he's not getting younger.
Kevin Garnett will probably break down this season or next season.
Why is Danny Ainge so afraid of breaking up the Big 3?
3 year plan that's now going on 6.
Celtics are old they should just rebuild.
Celtics are a poor rebounding and shooting team. They can't compete with Miami.
The Celtics are just old and can't compete with the likes of Miami or Chicago. The C's need to get rid of the old guys and rebuild around Rondo, young role players and draft picks.

False talking points by some in media i.e, Bomani Jones, Rob Parker, Kurt Helin and etc.

Boston fans seem to love the whole “if we were healthy, if we had Jeff Green, the playoffs would have been different” idea. I hate what ifs, and I think this year was the Celtics last deep run with this core.

But they would have been better with Jeff Green, who had to walk away from the team before the season when tests found an aortic aneurysm that required heart surgery to repair.

For the record, I’m not sure how much it helps the Celtics. Last season everything broke for them in the playoffs — they might not get out of the first round if Al Horford were healthy, they would not have gotten past a Bulls team with a healthy Derrick Rose, and if Chris Bosh had been healthy the Heat would have wiped them out in five games. Getting to a Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals was a bit of a mirage, Boston is good but not that good, but they are going to get the band back together and give it one more run. But Green or no Green, to make another deep run will require everything to go their way again.

These are the kind of talking points that has fans questioning the knowledge and integrity of today's journalists and writers. Comments like "what if" are so false. They're might be some truth to the Rose argument. If the Rose, Noah and the Bulls were healthy, there's a strong possibility the ECF would of been Bulls/Heat, but it wasn't.

Another false hood. If Chris Bosh was healthy the Celtics/Heat series would of been over in 4 or 5 games. False! These were the same people that were saying before the series started. Bosh could rest in the ECF, because the Heat will easily defeat the Celtics in 4 or 5. Without Bosh, the Heat had a 2-0 lead in games 3 and 4. The Celtics, hobbled, injuries to 4 player and brutal 7 game series against the Sixers.

What they're doing is diminish the outstanding play by Lebron James, Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo. And giving the credit to Chris Bosh as if he was the game changer, but he wasn't. Bosh, returned for game 5 and he still couldn't guard KG, which the Celtics won that game. Apparently being old or veteran team is not enough to win in the NBA.

But the "Old guys",argument is false and shows the lack of knowledge with today's sports culture regarding fans and media. If age is an issue then Miami would not of the championship, because they're the second oldest team in the league and Celtics are the third oldest team.

5xLakers
2xPistons
2xMavericks
2xCeltics
3xHeat
