Houston has reached agreement to send Kyle Lowry to the Raptors for a package that includes a future lottery pick, source tells Y!

McHale and him must have really been at odds.
McHale needs to hurry up and just come back to NBATV and replace Matt Winer or one of those boneheads. lol

Not quite as good as a Nash-led squad, but I think they could be a playoff-caliber team in the East. Will have to see what happens to Calderon and Bayless. Could be more talent added through trades.

Other than Lowry, that team looks like a poo-poo platter of 'Guys who can't do something you really need someone at their position to do'.

Dumb trade from Toronto. Colangelo continues to screw that team over.

Decent move for Houston. I like that Morey is blowing up that team and starting to rebuild properly instead of his half-assed attempts so far.

Toronto will send a future first-round pick that source says "is conditional with high upside" for Houston. "Guaranteed lottery pick."

That is weird. It's like the opposite of protection on the pick? First time the Raps end up in the lottery, the pick goes to Houston?

So, could Houston have gone from having two good young point guards to none?

Dragic is going to Phoenix.

Lowry is going to Toronto.

Speculation is that New York will match Houston's offer sheet for Jeremy Lin.

Ouch.
yea i have no idea wat Houston has been doin they almost made da playoffs last year now they tradin everyone away nd lost their point guard guess they wanna "blow it up" since they tired at da 14th pick of da draft swag

I guess, interesting structure on the picks. I definitely think that's a good deal for Houston if they can't land Howard or another elite talent.

I don't know.  All I've heard for the last two years is how Lowry is the best defensive point guard in the NBA and is about a half-step outside of the top-five overall PGs.

Now, he's only worth a future draft pick?  The draft is such a crap shoot; I'd prefer the sure thing, even if he is whiny.

If Howard is gone from Orlando they could take that spot, but I think the Bucks are going to be better.

Bucks should definitely be better. Atlanta may slide a bit, though.
Why are the Bucks going to be better?

So much for the brilliance of Daryl Morey. He is either purposely trying to drive that team to the first pick in next year's draft to get Nerlens Noel or Shabazz Mohammed  or he's made some seriously bad moves and assumptions(first probably being bringing McHale on as coach).

You've been reading to many of IPs posts then  :P.

I guess its more along the lines of if you can't win with your current core group of players you need to move on. In an ideal world you'd move Martin/Scola and keep Lowry. But Morey keeps offering those two up and other than the dumb NOH GM trying to win now by trading away CP3 no one is biting.

Looks like a 30-35 win squad to me. Don't see them making the playoffs.

I think Morey is sick of having the #14 pick. Being the top team outside of the playoffs.

He tried to make a move for a franchise player but he doesn't have the assets ... and now he is finally realizing he has to rebuild his team properly. He's blowing it up (I hope!).
