To me, a lot of our success will be determined by how many minutes JGreen gets to play at the 3.  And I mean, deserving minutes.  If doc can't find 35 minutes for JGreen at the 3, then our chances to get passed Miami are diminished.

There's only 48 mins at the 3, so I expect him to play a nice chunk of the time at the 4 as well as the 3. Honestly, at this rate I'm wondering if Green may be our starting 4 and sliding over to the 3 periodcally to spell Paul.
2021 Houston Rockets

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington

Did something happen to Paul Pierce?

Yes, he got old very quick.  Don't have the legs to keep up with the top tier 3s in a seven games series.

JGreen has to play the bulk of minutes at the 3 to be effective.  Otherwise, what a waste of his talents playing at the 4 would be.

Even a gimpy Pierce is still a better player than Green (and I like Green).

If we do not get a big SG, will PP move over to SG to play against the Joe Johnsons of the league? Because Rondo, AB, Terry have no chance against guarding those type.

Well, if that's the case, we are in trouble...

Hush, hush, sweet coco.  We got this.  We may not get 2008 Pierce, but the dude is still a boarderline all-star when healthy.  With the depth we should have this year (fingers crossed), Pierce should be tanned, rested, and ready for the playoffs this season.  We get one more average big for depth, and we'll be in the finals in '13.

Exactly. Pierce should be managed like Pop manages Duncan and be given 20-25 minutes per game. Green should be given 25-30 playing both SF + PF.

Possibly his knee injury affected him more than his age.

Paul Pierce at the 2, Jeff Green at the 3, KG at the 4, Camby at the 5 (hopefully?)

That's one big arse team lineup. Is it not better to have bigger players play the zone?

I think that at this stage of his career Paul Pierce is better suited to playing minutes at the four than at the two.  I can't see Paul Pierce as a shooting guard.
