  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
No. I love the Fab pick, but he's still too raw. He needs time.

Putting him in the starting lineup is a very huge risk-reward and the risk over weighs the reward here.

I'm just happy that he is healthy and that there is no work stoppage.

I voted maybe. He's raw yes, but he does have a lot of physical gifts. I just remember us not being so bad with Semih starting, and think Melo can do more. It's not like we would be asking much of Melo. Rebound and defend the rim defensively, finish lobs and putbacks strongly around the basket on the offensive end.

No. He hasn't played an NBA game and he wasn't that great in college. I highly doubt it will happen because Doc will not be comfortable with it either. He'll have to earn the starting spot and he won't do that in summer league and preseason. Bass/Green/Stiemsma all these guys are higher in the depth chart and at least one of them will be on the roster next season. I personally prefer KG at C and wish we could get a rebounding PF who's not undersized to start.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
This happens every time the Celtics make a move I don't like. I rationalize until I love it. At this point I'm excited about Melo. His face screams bust in a Mark Blountesque way, but as a center prospect he's nice. I think he'll be able to contribute, but I won't feel comfortable with him starting any time soon.
