Haven't seen his name mentioned in any rumor, should be at least a better backup centre than steamer, if we lose him to other teams..

I'd take him on some kind of minimum but I'd probably just rather give the minutes he would get to Melo or Sullinger.

He's a giant body but my grandfather is quicker than him
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

His last pay check was 2.5m, so he's probably looking for at least that figure.

YES. I've posted in many times with very luke warm responses on the board. I really wanted us to sign him last year as well.

He's relatively young and injury free. He's also a legit "big body" and he is not shy "at all" about smacking people when they come down the lane. Two years back when the Hornets played the Lakers in the playoffs he gave Bynum all he wanted.

He also has decent hands around the basket.

He is no superstar, but we don't need that. WE need a big space eating, hard hitting, true 7 footer that we can employ in spurts when we want to get physical and pound people.

I've been very suprised that I've never heard about any interest in him.

Our team is built sort of like the 90's Bulls' teams - the championship talent is on the wings, with KG and Rondo. Those teams did center by committe with very average talents. A center rotation of Gray, Steamer & Melo would be excellent for this team -that's all we need and it would be cheap.

Good call - I would be very happy to see us sign Gray as a piece of the center rotation.

I like that he provides something different from Stiemsma and Fab Melo.

It'd be nice to have an alternative option / skill-set at backup center. I'd tend more to a defensive minded backup center (with size and physical power) like Jamaal Magloire or Eric Dampier instead of the more offensively orientated Aaron Gray though. Still, I'd be happy enough with Gray.

Stiemsma is better.

Stiemsma is better.

I prefer Stiemsma, Hollins, and Williams all to Aaron Gray.

It's my preference to play Garnett at the 5 and develop Melo behind him as the first reserve. If we must, then Stiemsma should be the second reserve.

I like him, but don't love him.  And with Hibbert and Howard potentially both going west, we may not have a need for size at the C position anymore.  KG could possibly be the best center in the East.
