Blowing it up...this is exactly what Danny should have done!!! They're giving roddy minutes at SG and letting the kids play. Signing JET and KG is Pointless!!! The Heat is too good and Brooklyn will end up with Dwight...team is too old to compete. I hope I'm wrong but I doubt it. We needed to blow it all up and let JJJ E'Twuan Sullinger Green Melo Steamer Bradley play, would have loved to have seen G-Money return too. Dallas is in great shape for the future, lots of picks and cap space, Cuban did a great job...I give him a B+ and Ainge a C-...the future isn't bright for us...I hope I'm wrong.

Totally wrong.....Your hero get their own shot young guys aren't going to win a championship either...and we aren't going to land LBJ or Kobe on this team...so blowing it up for what ? there is nothing WE CAN get any better that willtake us as far as these OLD dudes will.

The HAWKS < ROCKETS < MAV ...all stupid .....all they have done is make NETS , HEAT , Celtics more powerful.  There is NO more LBJ players out there to get if we had all the player gone.....I see nothing out their we can get any better then Paul Pierce and KG.

Cuban gambled he could strike it rich in FA and it appears he lost, big time.

Unless he can work some magic here in the next year he may be forced to get whatever assets he can for Dirk and start to rebuild.  Don't know how well that is going to go over down there though.

Rondo, Sullinger, and Melo for Dirk?

O.O
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

Quick Cuban has been drinking the Otis Smith punch, S&T Bass and some skittles for Dirk before he comes down!

How do you propose we build for the future picking in the bottom of the draft every year...this team should have went nuclear and tanked for a top pick to go with a young core of Jeff Green Bradley JJJ Moore Joseph Sullinger and Melo

The 06-07 Celtics for example would have eventually become a good playoff team but we chose the quick way to get a title instead of just waiting for another year or two and stock pile lottery picks. That team was very athletic and exciting to watch. It was the right idea...I'm not saying we did the wrong thing but we would have had a longer window if we had just stayed the course.

Maybe someone can convince KG to retire and The Mavs to be dumb enough to match JET's offer. But again we won in 07-08 so I guess it made it worth blowing up an exciting team.

What Cuban did was get them a title. That happened by making the team older.

Not a chance.

But during the season, if Jeff Green plays well and Sullinger proves healthy and shows some potential, I think Green + Sullinger + Melo + draft picks for Dirk could be the foundation of a potential trade.  A lot more salary would have to be included to make that trade work though.  It would probably have to include a resigned Ray Allen going there, which would be so unfortunate for him.

Can't believe he let Steve Nash go to LA. Dirk and Nash are good buds. Mavs are going to be looking at week old leftovers soon. Not sure some of the guys left will pass the sniff test.

AGGGHHH!  That's so wrong I think I had an brain aneurysm while reading it.  If building a contender, let alone winning a title, was go easy, why do so few teams do it?

LOL Seriously what are some people thinking.  The same people that think LeBron or other players should "win by themselves".

It's VERY hard to win a title.
