I lost so much respect for Howard. He is honestly much worse than Lebron, but you don't see nearly as much backlash. I hate the Lakers (surprise) so I hope they get knocked out by the Thunder.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Well there's the first piece of the puzzle, and they're saying Nash is trying to bring Grant Hill with him. Dang.

Stay away Dwight!
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Nash thanked the Suns and called it an incredible gesture to trade him to the Lakers (for worthless draft picks).

Don't think the Suns will be getting any thank you cards around the league.

Ainge must be looking at the Lakers GM job and thinking that's his dream job. Get paid for doing nothing...everything is handed to you on a silver platter.

Heat fans are hating the Lakers right about now. Yeah, welcome to our world for the last 50 years buddy.

That would be an incredible core = Nash + Kobe + Pau + Dwight

Continue to try and trade Pau for a younger forward to go along with Dwight Howard. A Rudy Gay + Darrell Arthur offer could be interesting. A bridge to the future.

I wonder if Minnesota will continue to go after Pau Gasol, using Michael Beasley and other considerations as bait.

Part of me wants that franchise to implode for 5 years. The other half wants them to be good enough to make to the Finals just so we beat them again.

Lakers don't have the assets for both. Howard doesn't want to go to the Lakers.

Howard not wanting to go to LA is the #1 reason he's not in LA. His possible refusal to sign an extension is a deal breaker for any team that has a player Orlando would feel good about trading for.

Howard would have to be an idiot if he didn't realize the opportunities afforded to him by being traded to the Lakers.

PLS, ORL - Don't accept anything less than a Pau-Bynum package for Dwight.

Don't make LA's lineup:

C - Dwight
PF - Pau
SF - Metta
SG - Kobe
PG - Nash

Don't do it, ORL.

Howard and Turkoglu for Bynum, Artest, McRoberts, and Goudelock.

No draft picks, but possibly the best combination of talent and financial relief Orlando can expect in exchange for Howard.

seems like a huge mistake for the Lakers tbh... I think Bynum is better, and Howard has publicly stated he doesn't want to be in LA. So you trade the better player for a guy who probably won't even resign realizing the Lakers are a hit to his "I dont wanna be shaq" ego and are a couple of years away from a rebuild anyway

1) Bynum is not better than Howard
2) Howard doesn't want to be a Laker
3) I don't want the Lakers getting better in any way shape or form...they're the Montreal Canadians, The Yankees...I hope they don't win a game ever again

Amen.

If this lineup happened, is this a 72-10 type team? Alot of knowledgeable & smart ballplayers on that team. Kobe would have to relinquish some offensive selfishness though. I don't think he can do it though, he is who he is!

EXACTLY.

Kobe's had the green light in LA forever. When they had the destructive force called Shaq, it worked for them.

But he won't be giving that up right away, even for Nash.

He'll be good for a few games, then he'll go and put his hand in the cookie jar again, again, again.....
