Celtics Summer League Roster 2012

What Up yall!
Just thought that i would make a post, so that we could get a view of the team thats going to play for us in the summer league!

So lets go!;

Jonathan Gibson will play the NBA Summer League with the Boston Celtics trying to get a contract in the NBA. The American player started last season in Turkey with Trabzonspor being the Top Scorer in TBL with almost 20ppg.

This guy is a good scoring PG that can handle the rock. I cant wait to see how much he has improved since his College days!

@maineredclaws: Congrats to former Red Claws Craig Brackins, Jamar Smith & Stephane Lasme who will play for Celtics Summer League team in Orlando!

Well its going to be fun to see some old faces (Jamar Smith and Stephane Lasme (He nearly made our team two years ago...)) Craig Brackins never really got a chance in Philly, should be fun to see what he can produce, in limited minutes (Given that Melo, Sullinger, Sean Williams (??) Gets minutes ahead of him)

I also expect that Sean Williams is going to play, given that he got signed right before playoffs last season!

So our team should look something like this;
PG: Jonathan Gibson, Jamar Smith.
SG: Etwaun Moore.
SF: Kris Joseph, Stephane Lasme
PF: Sullinger, JaJuan Johnson, Sean Williams ().
C: Fab Melo, Craig Brackins

That makes it 10, feel free to add players if i forgot some ;-D

Pretty solid team:
Moore will be seeing minutes at PG
Good competition at all positions
A lot of PF's ??

I'm excited to see what these kids have. Especially Fab Melo, there is something about a young defensive oriented center that really intrigues me.

apparently he won't be playing in summer league. He's been playing a lot already and pre season will be enough. That could change but right now Danny Ainge says he won't be playing.

E'twan Moore has a big summer coming up. Will he make the team?  I think his contract is not guaranteed at this point. You would think he could new 3rd string PG but he has to had a good SL and beat out a couple of guys.

I really loved what I saw from Stephane Lasme last summer, but he's going to have a tough time making the team.  (Well they ALL are I guess.)

I believe the Orlando league is also broadcast on NBA TV, at least according to the schedule they post online and with my cable provider.  Celts play OKC on Monday July 9 at 1:00 p.m.

I was wanting to take my oldest son because we live outside of Tampa and will be in Orlando for a work-related conference.  But this is closed to the public, which was disappointing.  But I'm looking forward to seeing Sullinger & Melo, and also find Brackins an intriguing possibility as well.  I believe someone will come from this group that we don't expect and that will be exciting for them to have a dream fulfilled!
