Marc Stein reports the Rockets have withdrawn their QO to Courtney Lee, making him an unrestricted free agent.

I know Lee was getting some hype in 09 but fell off the map afterward playing for some mediocre teams.  Haven't seen much of him since, though he's put up some OK numbers.  Assuming Ray doesn't resign, is he worth pursuing as a 4th guard?  Would he be practical to sign with the biannual exception, or would we likely have to S+T for him?

Looking for info and opinions on him, basically.

I think he'll get more money than the bi-annual. I'd expect $3-4 million.

Good defender, good shooter, average athlete. If he fell into our laps and we missed on ray I'd welcome him happily but I wouldn't chase him by any means

If Ray leaves, I'd love a backcourt of Rondo/Bradley/jet/Lee.

Yes, because we need a BIG guard with all these midget mofos, who I love, but they're midgets

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Bulls will go hard.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Lee's a legitimate pest who would add height, but I don't see how the C's get him with their payroll situation.
