Deron will surely be excited about the opportunity to bounce passes off of Evans' granite hands.

Nets still have another TE of $3 million (I'm assuming they somehow fit Evans into the smaller one they had).

If you're looking at Evans as an offensive weapon, you're doing it wrong. Guy is a rebounding MONSTER. He will create a ton of 2nd chance opportunities for D.Will/JJ/G.Wallace/D12(?)

If you prefer, I can rephrase this as: I'm sure Deron is going to be thrilled at the prospect of playing 4 on 5 on offense every time Evans is on the floor.

Sure, Evans used to be a great rebounder before he blew out his knee. But the guy couldn't catch a ball or score a free throw to save his life. Not to mention that he is fully capable of blowing wide open layups.

Okay, I see you're didn't watch much of him last season so I should take your opinion with a grain of salt.

During the regular season, Evans played just 13.8 mins a game and averaged 4.8 rebounds. In the playoffs, he played 18 mins a game and grabbed 7.3 boards per game. By comparison, Bass averaged 6.2 boards and 5.3 boards in 31.7 mins during the regular season and 30.4 mins in the playoffs.

The Nets offense shouldn't be an issue with Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Gerald Wallace and presumably Brook Lopez. In the few minutes Evans will get, he will rebound the ball and go after it more ferociously than anybody he's on the floor with.

I think he was being sarcastic. In fact, I know he's being sarcastic.
