There really aren't enough minutes for the both of them.  I don't know why nobody is willing to admit that.  The math isn't really all that hard.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Unless we sign sign and trade Ray, I will go with Ray. Going forward, Terry may be a slight upgrade, but the whole MLE is a decent piece to have - either now or during mid-season. If Ray gets traded for a decent big, I will be totally satisfied with the move to get Terry, though...I will miss Ray, however.

I've changed my mind to both.  Who cares about minutes?  This team could be nasty.

I am just guessing that it may take Avery a long time to rehab  his shoulders, or that he may never be the players he promised to be, and I hope I am wrong.

I don't see him coming back in the first half of the season.  I think we   need both Ray and Terry, and I expect RA to be healthy and start.  I do expect the backup, whoever he is, to play the majority of the minutes and Doc to see that Ray gets plenty of rest.

I am asking again if anyone has heard anything about Avery's rehab schedule time line.  Until that is at least talked about, it will be very difficult for Danny to know how to plan.

I read on line  16 weeks ,  But he has two issues to recover from  :-\  so not sure if that makes it longer, but I suspect it will add to the recovery time.  He is young and will have the best PT's , not so much will he get better , its how long will it take , then he has to get in shape and get his game back....that might be a good while

Let's be real here, they are both freaking old. Bradley gets banged up all the time. It sucks to be pessimistic about injuries, but we need to conserve them and they'll often have someone out of the lineup.

Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger

Forget the minutes discussion. This team would be [dang] strong with both Ray and Terry. I don't care how we make it work, just make it work. We have to get Ray back. Ray has to be a team player in this instance, come back and help this very strong looking team win.

I really don't see it as outside the realm of possibility that the Celtics could have the best record in the league this season. I honestly don't.

At this point id rather have terry. At least terry can create off the dribble. All allen can do at this point is hit open shots. Terry is also very good at that.

I think we can challenge that '95 Bulls record
