Ya I keep repeating this over and over but his name keeps getting brought up on this forum, I think people are forgetting he's NOT playing this year and he's said it multiple times.

Here is my question.  If Boston signs Oden to a veteran minimum contract, would it retain Bird rights on him next summer?  If so, that seems like a good way to potentially land a mega free agent next summer without having any cap space.

Let's give him some Jeff Green treatment so he can drink the green kool aid. I'd love to get Oden too, but he really does need to take enough time to heal up properly once and for all.
