It's ok, isn't it ?  Our wish list starts with Kaman anyway doesn't it ?

1) Kaman
2) Krstic
3) Camby

I don't think I've seen a convincing argument yet that we can afford Kaman. Have you?

Sign-n-trade with Bass would be about the only option now.

If he doesn't want to come to Boston, that's fine - spend the MLE on Terry.  I do hope that Danny made a push for Camby, though; I can't think of a player who would help us out more (who seems realistically attainable).

This is probably why we're not on his list anymore - if Terry gets the MLE we don't have much to offer him (with the rest of our cap space tied up in offers to Green, Ray, maybe Bass).

Yep.  He reportedly wants at least the Taxpayer's MLE.

Too bad, if true.

But I'd be happier with Chris Wilcox. He was in a groove with BOS before he had the heart issue last yr.

And he's younger.

Plus, I have a feeling that Fab Melo will provide some of that rim-protection that we need next year.

Eh, i'm a little concerned if we're going to heavily rely on 2 guys coming off of heart conditions.  I'm ok with Wilcox, but Camby - for as questionable a fit as he would've been - would've immediately solved our biggest, most glaring weakness.

I'll applaud Danny for making a quick move on Terry because he needed to hedge his bets with Ray, but man i wanted Camby.  Guess we'll just have to suck up the rebounding deficit again and work around it.

Letting Ray walk or not overpaying for Brandon Bass is the only arguments I've seen.

WHat is everybody's obsession with Chris Kaman?! He's slow, not a good defender (albeit a decent shot blocker), disappears in most games, slow, slow, and really slow. Slower than Camby with much less to offer. Oh yes, he has some good post moves, but Wilcox would produce more for the C's.

Does all that you mention change when playing alongside Kevin Garnett ?

I think Semih Erden would say yes.

Wait it out.

Lets see if a team he wants still has the MLE to give him.

Was Camby ever on the Celtics' list? I'm not sure.

This is my impresson.  Otherwise, it would have made a heckuva lot more sense to use the MLE on Camby than Terry.

Maybe it's his 12 ppg and 8 rpg career averages that people like about Kaman? Although I like Wilcox there's no way he'd produce anywhere close to those numbers.  He averages 8 ppg and 5 rpg for his career and hasn't averaged double figure point since 08...
