I had a feeling he wasn't going to come here anyway, my guess it's Miami.  ::)

HOU C Marcus Camby's updated free agent list: HOU,DAL,SA,MIA,NY & BK. Camby still likes HOU, but not waiting on Asik's situation to conclude

If he doesn't want to come to Boston, that's fine - spend the MLE on Terry.  I do hope that Danny made a push for Camby, though; I can't think of a player who would help us out more (who seems realistically attainable).

if Boston is actually off his list, increases the odds Danny resigns Wilcox and Steimsma.

Wilcox, at least.  More direct effect would be the willingness to commit the full MLE to JET, which wouldn't leave the C's with much of any options to give Stiemer anything more than a minimum contract.

This is probably why we're not on his list anymore - if Terry gets the MLE we don't have much to offer him (with the rest of our cap space tied up in offers to Green, Ray, maybe Bass).

Hopefully, Boston is still on Chris Wilcox and Greg Stiemsma's lists and vice versa.

That's what I don't like; JET will help us next year (if that becomes official), but Camby helps us more.

Although Camby will turn 86 years old next year, I'm still pretty bummed. I liked the idea of him starting next to KG alot.

I don't think I've seen a convincing argument yet that we can afford Kaman. Have you?

  • GOT IT!!!
I read an article that said Kaman would take less money to go to a contender. If Terry takes the MLE though, that probably kills any chance at either of them.

  • Ashy To Classy, baby.
WHat is everybody's obsession with Chris Kaman?! He's slow, not a good defender (albeit a decent shot blocker), disappears in most games, slow, slow, and really slow. Slower than Camby with much less to offer. Oh yes, he has some good post moves, but Wilcox would produce more for the C's.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

People just want to see size and although I've been a huge wilcox fan since Seattle he's 6'10 at best

Good I have no interest in offering him a 3 year deal. :P
