This should take them out of the running for AK-47, right?  Really hope Danny makes an offer on him.
It also takes them out of the running for Howard, unless Deron/Gerald both take less money and the cap gymastic S&Ts all are agree to by a ton of players.

Yeah, interesting.  The Nets just committed themselves to a $74 million (or so) hard cap.
Tells me the Howard to Nets still a possibility was just an Agent pushing a media agenda.

Probably this is the smartest move this offseason for Nets. Good deal for a very good player, very skilled offensive, can score from inside also fantastic shooter. He will contribute this season. One of the best players in Europe for 11/12.

Why i think this is smart move? Well G.Wallace signed a 4 year deal and he is 30. We all know how much J.Johnson is paid and he is 31. Together they will make 30mil next season ( we have KG and Rondo for about 22 next season ) I don't think the can win a title, i see them becoming something like the Knicks, with no playoff succes. So Teletovic at 5mil, they won't find better player for those money in free agency because i have watched Teletovic play many times and he is very good.

Yeah.  The Lakers and Rockets have to be happy - Howard is probably going to have to contemplate other destinations.

What on earth will the Nets do if Deron leaves?

My only problem is where will he play.... Too slow to play SF , not strong enough to play PF (but on the other hand he can really spread the floor)

No more $74 million hard cap for the Nets...

Quote
According to sources, the Nets' new agreement with Mirza Teletovic could reopen trade talks with Orlando for Dwight Howard.

Just when it seemed as if Brooklyn's dream of landing Dwight Howard had been shattered, there remains a slim chance that the Nets could land the Orlando center.

A source with knowledge of the Nets' dealings told SI.com that Bosnian forward Mirza Teletovic is now likely to sign with Brooklyn for the team's mini midlevel exception (three years, combined $9 million max) rather than full midlevel exception (four years, combined $20 million max) as originally reported.
