Dwight Howard has unequalled athletic talent.  Dwight Howard is a beast.  Dwight Howard is the best center in the NBA. Dwight Howard is a spoiled superstar.  Dwight Howard won't sign a long term extension.

My question is, "Why Not Dwight Howard"?

I am hearing about some of the proposed trades  for Howard.

Why not make a pitch and atsee what would unfold.

Brooklyn (er New Jersey)  seems to have spent too much money to sign both Deron Williams and to be able to make a trade to acquire Dwight Howard.

Why not package  AB (I love this kid and would hate to part with him)  Bass (to another team) in a 3 way sign and trade,  Etwaun Moore, and one of our other assets and draft choices to acquire him.

How would a line-up of KG, Dwight, Ray, Paul and Rondo fare against the Heat and OKC?
How would we match up against Philly, or LA?

One year?

Why not.

Dwight Howard this is Bill Russell, he's going to take you out to dinner and tell you a story about a man named Arnold Red Auerbach.

Why Not?

"Just do what you do best."  -Red Auerbach-

I don't think that gets it done.  To be honest, I'm hoping Brooklyn pulls off a deal and Howard goes there and signs a long extension alongside Deron Williams, and the drama goes back to being about the game of basketball.

The silliness needs to end.

Magic have consistently seemed to insist on any team taking on turkoglu in addition to D12.  Think it would be very hard to have our salaries match up without dealing pierce as part of the deal.

to match the Nets offer, something like Avery Bradley, Jared Sullinger, and 3 future #1s, plus we'd have to move Pierce to make room.

This is the answer to your question, "why not?"

I trust that this resolves the matter.

People thought the DH thing was over, but I knew it wasn't , just long enough to catch our breath . It was just a lull in the media storm.  Here we are  in full craze again. Its like a freakin soap opera.  Teams throwing everything at him , and he has just came out of a back surgery.  Crazy.  He may never be the force he once was and may take a franchise down with him . He has several teams totally blown apart and in a state of disillusion over him.

Personally..I hope DWill goes out west MAVs and DH goes to LA where he belongs and (STAYs) forever. with the rest of the lunacy.  I think LA is more dangereous with Pau and Bynum than Dwight Howard anyways.  All I see is more stupid acts out of DH and I'd rather him do all that in LA or Houston so I can sit back and laugh at it.

I'm to the point I really don't want him on the Boston team. His media circus is worse than LBJ

Take all that Howard and his zoo and please leave the EC.

Well put. This craziness is what ruins basketball. Go, Dwight, go to the west!

I'd hide our cheerleaders if ever he were to play here. And I'd have a psychologist do a check on his brain if it really is functioning.

This is why I want him in Brooklyn.  I'm worried that if he goes anywhere else, the soap opera won't end.  He wants Brooklyn, Brooklyn wants him.  Make the deal and get it over with.

Plus, I welcome another rival in the division.  It makes it more fun.

I'd like to see the Atlantic division be the most competitive one in the NBA.  If the Knicks can pull their sorry behinds together and play up to their talent level, if Nash goes up to Toronto, and Dwight teams up with Deron in Brooklyn, I think that would make for a fun season.

I almost forgot about those pesky, young Sixers.  Make us earn the division for a change.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Because he's a diva and like LBJ, he wants the easy way out, but worse, he wants to do it and BE LIKED by both parties.

If things go sour in Boston he's gonna whine again and force himself out. I don't want someone like that playing for OUR Celtics. He want's to be in Brooklyn, let him go there, and bring this drama while he's at it.

Why Not?

Because a trade for Dwight will likely cost us Avery Bradley and JJJ plus future 1sts, if not more.  This would all be for a 1 year rental for a guy who you know doesn't want to play for you and could give a crap about your team.

And as we have learned every year with the Big 3, nothing is guaranteed.  KG could bust his knee again, Dwight could throw out his back, and then you have given up all of your future for nothing.  We are not run by Billy King or Otis Smith.  Thankfully our GM is not that stupid.

Only chance, trade deadline.

By then Green will be tradeable.

Draft picks.

Possible Ray Allen to a third team.

Still, a major long shot.
