Ray is drama queen. I can't believe Ray Allen is actually meeting with Miami. Celtics went above and beyond with their offer doubling Miami's offer. Makes me appreciate KG more with the way he handled the free agency.

Well, in Ray's defense, the C's have been shopping him for years and didn't offer him the 3 year 34 million deal that they offered KG.

I'm not saying Ray deserves those things, but the C's have also made the decision a lot easier for KG.

Kgs importance to this team is bigger than rays

Give me a break both pierce and rondo were almost traded and you don't see them all upset about it

This thread amuses me, there's no reason why Ray can't go meet with all of his options. He's not being a drama queen, I don't think he's even spoken to the media.

Ray has been the center of far more rumors than any of them.

And again, as the poster above said, Ray is within his rights to visit other teams.  People are acting like he's trashing the C's publicly or doing something else crazy.

My only point was that if the C's offered him 3 years 34 million, I'm sure Ray would already be back in green too, so let's not act like KG made some sort of amazing sacrifice to come back here.

If Ray played as well as KG he'd have no problem getting 3/34. KG didn't shop around when he would have been one of the top FAs on the market. Ray is, even though he's looking at less money from other teams.

Garnett market value higher than that. He could've put the Celtics in a betting war if he wanted to. So yes I appreciate Garnett for coming back in orderly manner.

Ray is stringing the Celtics along as he strokes his own ego.

Ray Allen is doing what virtually every free agent in the history of free agency has done; consider all of his options.

KG did what virtually no free agent in the history of free agency has ever done; intentionally leave money on the table.

To hold Ray Allen to KG's standard is ridiculous.  Cripes, we're what, three days into free agency?  Have a little patience.

Y'all are crazy (not ^you guys^, you're the sane ones).  Ray is a picture of class.  Whether or not he felt disrespected by trade rumors/being a 6th man/Rondo's antics is PURE SPECULATION.  Ray is making a very important choice right now, one that could completely change his family's life.
Let the man think, for Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.'s sake.
If we can shop him every time we think there's a trade worth pursuing (and call him a whiner for (possibly) not being too happy about it), then we certainly have no right to complain about Ray spending a week (seriously guys, free agency JUST STARTED- calm down) mulling over his options.
And please, to those of you who think Ray is a "traitor" for visiting the Heat- grow up, please.
