Minor point.

Pietrus is almost definitely gone if Green and Ray come back.  It's wishful thinking to believe he'd come back for the minimum again to begin with, but it's definitely not going to happen if Ray and Green come back.  With them back, there's literally be zero minutes for Pietrus at the 2/3 spots between Ray/Bradley/Pierce/Green.  It's going to be hard enough finding minutes for the 4 of them.

I agree about your point on minutes but don't agree that he won't come back anyways.  As we found out last year, people get hurt.  Ray is still coming off bone spurs surgery, there is no guarantee he will be 100% all year.  Same goes for Pietrus.

I think Pietrus comes back for the vet min.  I think Jeff Green will be eased into the rotation a bit before settling at 20+ mins per game.  I think Pietrus will get 4 mins at the 2 and 4 mins at the 3 at least during the first half of the season.

Green will play some of his minutes at pf, Bradley will play some of his minutes at pg.

The problem is this: I could see him coming back at the minimum if he was convinced he could play a big role and potentially parlay that into a bigger contract for the following year.

But coming back here and potentially filling Marquis Daniel's role (meaning only getting spot minutes) is practically a financial death sentence for Pietrus.

I think he either follows the money or goes somewhere for the minimum where he can get consistent minutes.  Because even if Green gets 12 mpg at the 4 and Bradley gets 12 mpg at the PG spot, there's still not a lot of minutes left for Pietrus at the 2/3 spots.

And if Terry comes, it's not even a discussion.

But I'd love to be wrong.

I doubt that Mickael Pietrus is going to get a lot of offers for more than the minimum or get a bigger role anywhere else.

If Danny offers him a contract, you can bet Peaches will be back.

Anyone else worry about the lack of experienced bigs in the rotation?

I don't want to see the Celtics try to matchup with the Heat.  I want them to attack their weaknesses.

I'd like to have healthy Pietrus for one season. We need him for his D ..  .

I can't envision Terry coming here.

I'm not seeing it either, although I wouldn't mind it. I think that he hasn't explicitly said he won't look at MLE teams so peopl think he isn't looking for more.
