Beware, Ye Ray Allen Naysayers

I was surprised to learn that this season, Ray Allen had a career high for 3pt%, at .453

Sure the guy was banged up a bunch, but if he comes back healthy and continues that production, could Sixth Man of the Year be that far out of reach? I think not.

He actually shot 91.5% on the season. Sure, for Ray that's a little low, but it's better than 90% of the NBA. As for the playoffs, it's a fluke, not the norm.

he did finish 14-15 in the last 6 games of the heat series in which he looked healthier game by game.

it was definently a fluke. The guy is money at the line and money in tight situations

I think he could easily be in the running for that award.

Sure could - especially with AB rehabbing his injury until December. This should allow Ray to get the required number of starts/playing time needed to qualify for the award.

Or - hopefully he's playing so well by the time AB gets back that Doc just leaves it as is.

Probably as an effect of his ankle issues.  When he shoots his FTs he goes up on his toes that start the whole movement all the way to his follow through.  If his ankles give him problems it throws off his whole equilibrium through the shot.

Ankle issues which have (knock on wood) been fixed.
