As stated above.
I feel that people aren't giving Bass enough credit for sticking to the Celtics. I feel that he'll stay not for money but because of Rondo/ Championship Contention/ Fan support/ Celtics Organization. He seems to be more loyal especially since he had his best year in his career so far. Arguably you could say that it wasn't just that he was on fire, but also because of Rondo/Culture of the team. He was starting PF for the Magic with Dwight Howard, which theoretically would give him a lot of open looks because of double teams, so why wasn't he thriving there? Doc wants him to shoot the ball where as Stan Van Gundy was mad everytime he threw one up. All these add up to why he had a great season. I think he understands that this kind of play would be harder to recreate in seasons to come if he left Boston.

I might've went off track but I hope you guys understand what I'm trying to get through.
What are your thoughts are BB?

i want bass back. bass fit this team perfectly, no matter how 1 dimensional he was. he is a top priority to sign back as ainge said

with KG, bass, green, sully. JJJ, and possibly wilcox, we are STACKED at pf

playoff rotation:
rondo, bradley, pierce, bass, kg
       ray, green, sully, wilcox/stiemsma.

And this is a good thing?

If Bass is looking to get paid perhaps we can do better. Josh Smith would be one option; but he would not come cheap.-

hopefully we give him a contract.  Do people expect us to start Jared Sullinger or something?  I mean... I have no real reason to believe that kid will not turn into a player, but you can't realistically expect him to be a starter out of the gate.  His potential is supposedly poor man's Carlos Boozer... but he's got some ways to go.

Only way we should be letting Bass walk is if we sign/trade for a capable big man starter (preferably a center so KG can go back to his preferred PF)

But Bass shown to have defense as well as offence. Guarding Lebron in the Playoffs. Also Bass is actually fast enough to take people off the dribble and power it down. Which is something I didn't except seeing as he was just a jump shooter. See game against Atlanta or Philly where he won the game for by scoring like 27 points. Most of that was because he was able to drive and throw it down. He should be resigned and i think it will be a good price.

I would love to have my LSU fighting Tiger Brandon Bass back IF it fits us cap wise and we can get others we need also.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

someones going to offer him alot more money than the C's are willing to pay. I like bass, i remember him playing like a Beast in the State playoffs here in Louisiana, and then watched him kill it at Lsu!

But even if there is more money I don't think he'll take it.

Because he's in his prime and he's going to cash in.

I'd take him back with open arms if he comes back but if he doesn't it's not the biggest deal.

If Bass doesn't start at pf I'd expect to see Green there (assuming he comes back). People have him penciled in as backup sf, but there's no way he's only playing 12 or so minutes a game.

Start KG and Wilcox on the front line.  Green will split his team between backing up the 3 and the 4.  Stiemsma is a back up center.  This gives them an opportunity to work the youngsters--Johnson, Melo, and Sullinger--in without having to rely on them too heavily.

Let Bass walk.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I'd rather do a sign and trade with him than let him walk.

For Josh Smith or Michael Beasley hopefully.

I am not as worried about the per anum size of the contract but rather the number of years.  I see him getting decent money for 4 years.  I am not sure I want him around for 4 years.  We can probably get more value out of a sign and trade.
