D-League rules?

I was curious if anyone knows if the D-League rules are the same as last year or if they have changed for this season.

I think I heard that the Red Claws are now officially the Cs minor league team and not shared by another franchise.  I'm wondering if we can stash guys above the 15 man big league roster and then call them up as needed, baseball style?

Or, is it the same as last year?  If a guy doesn't make the big club, and he ends up on the Claws, he can he still be signed by any team in the league throughout the season.

i was wondering this too. we have a lot of rookies and sophomores on our team.

We only have rights to 15 players at a time.  Up to two players at a time can be assigned to the D-League; those players count against the 15 player maximum.  In other words, our D-League affiliate isn't a true minor league affiliate, where we can call up anybody.

In terms of rule changes, veteran players can now be assigned to the D-League if they consent.  Players with zero to two years of NBA experience can be assigned without their consent.
