This makes Mo Williams the unquestioned starter in Utah now.

Gotta wonder though, does this mean Atl will reconsider J.Smith+Teague for Gasol?
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

I gotta think Ferry's trying to blow it up and build around Horford. Pairing Gasol with Horford would just delay that because of how nasty they'd be.

Well, Atlanta sure is in fire-sale mode.  Ferry is taking some serious C-4 to that roster.

Smith has to be next.  Just hope it's us that gets him.

I like it for Utah.

I prefer Marvin Wilimas over Devin Harris + Marvin fills a position of need that can be quite hard to fill unlike the PG position which is littered with talent at the moment and Harris is easily replaceable.

I'd like to see Utah make a run at someone like Goran Dragic now.

Gotta think promising Mo Williams the starting gig was a big part of him agreeing to opt in to the final year and accepting the trade.

Is there a young free agent PG that you prefer over Dragic?

I think Dragic would be a fine stop-gap signing if Utah can get him. Contract would be easily trade-able (Utah limited to MLE, right?). Give them solid PG play in the meanwhile.

PG: Dragic Mo Williams
SG: Hayward, CJ Miles
SF: Marvin
PF: Millsap, Favors
C:  Big Al, Kanter

Maybe try and trade Millsap for a PG instead?

Edit: Completely forgot Mo Williams was traded there. He'll do fine as a stop-gap PG. Give Utah some time to find someone better to fill the role down the line.

Yes, sorry, forgot all about Mo Williams. He'll make a fine stop-gap option at PG.

Atlanta absolutely got the better deal..Williams is a sixth man at best

Ha, put the deal in the Trade Machine, and both teams experience a net decrease in projected wins (-3 for Utah, -1 for Atlanta).
