I like Brandon, but Sully's got more upside, and the 4 spot's getting pretty crowded. I'd rather have Wilcox, who can also play the 5 and would probably come cheaper.

I'd love it if the C's did a sign-and-trade with New Orleans, sending Bass out for Chris Kaman.  Seems like a nice trade.

PF: Garnett/JJJ/Sullinger
C: Kaman/Stiemsma/Mello

Bass and KG like to do the same thing: shoot from the elbows.  Kaman seems like a better complement to KG.  Otherwise, KG plays center again with Bass at PF.

Kaman loves to shoot jumpers too, he's just worse at it than Bass.

Yeah but he does have a back to the basket game.
Not a very reliable one anymore.

He only shot 53% at the rim this past year and while slightly over half his attempts were within 9 feet of the rim he shot in the 40% range on those.

On his jumpshots he was at 40%, which isn't terrible but we're not looking at an upgrade from Bass.

Bass was 45% on jump shots and 55% at the rim, a much more efficient scorer.

Kaman is an upgrade at CENTER, though.  Unless you want KG back at Center.  Kaman would be a better defender and rebounder at Center than anyone we have.  I'm less concerned about his offense.

The only way you get Bass on the court is at PF.  And that still leaves a big hole at center.

I think the positives Kaman would bring in all areas, and the slotting it would allow the other players, would outweigh his outside shot abilities.

No Bass for me if he's going to have to be paid much more than the $4m he got last season.  All the guy does well is shoot wide open jumpers.
