I'm only asking because sources are saying he wants a 2-3 year deal worth 3mill+ a year...seems like a lot for somebody his age although he has been relatively healthy..

Maybe he takes less to be a starter because everybody's saying that's his preference. The more I hear about it the more I want him but his supposed price tag seems high

Camby scares me for the same reasons O'Neal scared me; as in even when he can't play anymore he's gonna milk that contract in semi-retirement (known also as the 'disabled list'.

The big difference is Camby still put up 7ppg and 9rpg last year. That's not only productive, that's an extremely effective center. I'd be happy to use the full MLE on him.

EDIT: Oh, and that was with only 24 minutes/game. Scale those to 35 and you have 10ppg and 13.5rpg. Excellent.

I give him 2 years and up to $10 million total.

Camby has led the league three straight years in rebounding percentage. He'd be the perfect addition to the team.

Would you go any higher than the MLE and if you didn't, would you give it to him for three years? I'm a little hesitant to sign him for three years..

I think Camby at 3/4 mill a year is a good deal for his talents. I always figured it would take the full MLE to get him.

Considering he made 12.9mil last year, 3+ is a bargain

I wouldn't go higher than the MLE, but I'd give him two years, same as theyre saying for Ray. That'd put him at 40 yrs old haha.

1 year full mle or 2 years @ 3m each.

He doesn't have JO's injury history but is long in the tooth. He could easily fall off completely at any time here.  Its a gamble.

Yeah, but Camby can't play 35 minutes a game.

This is how I see it also.

Well, we could we offer him the vet minimum on paper, then have my friends John Lounsbury and Wesley Spears go talk to him behind closed doors.  I think he would be a good fit while keeping us flexible financially to sign other players, maybe we could even make the final four again.    ;)

Two years, full MLE is as high as I'd go.  Adding elite rebounding and solid rim-protection is worth the risky 2nd year.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler
