please write off KG on the center. he won't be playing at the position unless he is forced to. any discussion of filling out roster must set him on the 4.
Do you have a link to a primary source preferably from KG, Doc or Danny Ainge?  I will trust the FACT that KG started at center for the greater part of the season than wanton speculation.

17 year history Garnett hates playing center. At the very least in regular season Garnett is back to a 4. Reduce wear and tear on his body that way.

This is not really a Center vs Power forward thing here! It's basically two bigs alterning duties! KG will do whatever is needed for us to win! If it means playing more of the "Center" role then be it! It's all about 18!!!

This ^ Sure, KG hates playing center. But you know what KG hates more? Losing. And there's no question we were a better team last year after Garnett's move to center.

Assuming Danny gets his top two priorities of signing Ray and Bass, how would you fill out the rest of the roster?  You have 5 spots and 10 Million Dollars to spend.  You can offer up to 5 million a year for a F.A using the M.L.E.

1. Rajon Rondo (11) - * - *
2. Avery Bradley (2) - Ray Allen (6) - *
3. Paul Pierce (16) - Jeff Green (7) - *
4. Brandon Bass (6)  - JaJuan Johnson (2) - Jared Sullinger (1.5)
5. Kevin Garnett (11) - * - Fab Melo (1.5)

Guards: OJ Mayo, Jamal Crawford, Jason Terry, Kirk Hinrich, Nick Young, Sonny Weems, Daniel Greene, Keyon Dooling, E'Twaun Moore, Jonathan Gibson
Wings: Kris Joseph, Mikael Pietrus
Bigs:  Marcus Camby, Carl Landry, Nenad Kristic, Chris Wilcox, Greg Stiemsma, Sean Williams, Joey Dorsey

Cap: 74m
Total: 64m
Personally, I'm intrigued by the potential of Gibson, Moore, Joseph, Williams and Stiemsma.  But I like the veterans Dooling, Pietrus and Wilcox.  It's hard to narrow down further.  I can see us not matching Stiemsma, or sign-and-trades sending multiple players for one.

It all depends on who they can entice for relatively short money.  Key needs are shooters and guys who can run the floor with Rondo during regular season.  Would love to see Wilcox back for that reason.  Pietrus, but not sure he fits if Green is here. I think there's a decent chance that Dooling returns.

The signing of Terry might be the end of Stiemsma in Boston, and good news for the rookies.  If we can sign Ray and Bass.

1. Rajon Rondo (11) - Jason Terry (5)   - E'Twaun Moore (1)
2. Avery Bradley (2) - Ray Allen (6)   - Mickael Pietrus (2)
3. Paul Pierce (16) - Jeff Green (7)   - Kris Joseph (1)
4. Brandon Bass (6) - JaJuan Johnson (2)   - Jared Sullinger (1.5)
5. Kevin Garnett (11) - Chris Wilcox (1)   - Fab Melo (1.5)

If Dallas doesn't match and we sign Terry, I'd have to go with bringing the whole gang back together if possible.

Guards: Rondo, Bradley, Terry, Allen, Pietrus, Moore

Forwards: Pierce, Bass, Green, Sullinger, Johnson

Centers: Garnett, Wilcox, Melo, Steimsma

Of course, we have a good chance of losing Allen, Bass or Steimsma, but if we do lose one of them, I'd add Joseph to the roster. If we lose more than one of them, I'd hope we can get Krstic back. I'd also be okay with Joseph replacing Moore if he doesn't take a step forward. My best guess is that we lose Steimsma and replace him with Krstic, retain Bass and Allen, and choose between the second rounders in training camp.

I think KG will end up being our Center, unless Fab surprises us all and ends up learning the system and being Perk 2.0 as a rookie. Wilcox for BiE and Pietrus comes for Min.
