I think we're all overlooking him. Personal issues have gotten the best of his career so far.High basketball IQ. Plays defense. Athletic.Last year, he was playing off pure instinct. No plays. Not even a defensive scheme. He can easily be the next Stiemsma for us, possibly more.Hopefully Stiems stays, Williams pans out and we get an insane shotblocking duo off the bench.
I, for one, want to see Williams given a real chance. He's super-athletic, and great on D—I expect to see him in both summer leagues, and hopefully he makes the roster. He's better than Hollins, and maybe better overall than Steamer.

The consensus on him from multiple NBA coaches was that he was an extremely intelligent guy and had a VERY high bball IQ.He just had a 'lazy' factor that couldn't be overcome and was happy making a million dollars.Hopefully our locker room can change that for the better.
I'd be surprised if he makes the roster. I think Danny signed him as a fallback in case we struck out in free agency.

If anyone were excited about him, we'd be hearing about it by now. But neither player, nor coach, nor GM mentions him as part of their future.
