Instead of putting a package of a S&T Jeff Green or Bass, Bradley and Melo for Josh Smith like many have suggested, how about offering that same package for a legit big man in Deandre Jordan? Just a suggestion.

1.) We can't sign & trade Jeff, he wasn't on our roster at the end of the season.
2.) Why on earth would LA trade DJ? They're in win now mode - that frontcourt rotation of DJ/Blake/Odom is very talented.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

I mean hes unproven at the moment but I think Fab Melo will be just as good as DeAndre Jordan if not better... I'd rather take the risk and hold onto him than sign him with other valuable pieces for a guy like  Jordan

I hope the hell not. If you think Howard has problems around the basket...check Jordan issues. He can dunk and nothing more.

There's a reason Jordan isn't even out on the court during crunch time for the Clippers. He's an absolute liability out there.

Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe

Is this implying that DeAndre Jordan is equal in value to Josh Smith?

not necessarily given Jordan has a number of years left at a much smaller amount than Smith.

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I'd prefer to stay away from these overpaid big contracts.

He's staying in LA too.  Best friends with Blake.

I think Fab could end up being like Jordan, maybe even better, and I also wouldn't want to give up that much, but you do hit on a good point: Quite a few CBers are hot for Smith, but even though he's a good overall talent, he'd be, like, the 18th power forward on our roster.

What we need is a legit CENTER, so even though Jordan's not right for us, at least you're talking the right position.

Melo is nowhere near athletic as Jordan. We can use him, but it's not really necessary this year. And if we got Smith, we'd obviously trade 1 or 2 of our PFs.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.
