Expect Heat, Celtics, Lakers, Hawks and Knicks to have interest in free agent Rashard Lewis once he clears waivers, source tells Y!

Could he be a cheaper replacement on a shorter contract for Bass? He stretches the floor even more than Bass and has come up big in the playoffs at times.

More like a replacement for Pierce's backup at this point.

I think Lewis would be an interesting addition for the Knicks.

Start him at power forward in between Tyson Chandler and Carmelo Anthony and bring Amare Stoudemire off the bench as a sixth man.

I like Lewis as a defender and a floor stretcher, and consider him an upgrade to Bass. Sign him, let Bass go.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Anyone who thinks Lewis is an upgrade on Bass had better check the way Rashard's production has been in decline for the last 5 years.

I'm thinking Jeff Green already fills that role?

Assuming we sign him.

I think Amare would kill himself if they replace him with Rashard Lewis. It would also be tough to pitch a bench role to a max contract guy.

Can't we just bring Gerald Green back?

A defender.... he has barely played the last 2year years and kg use to burn him all day when the magic were relevant in the playoffs a few years ago.

We only sign him if we miss on both jeff and bass first.

Btw no one is talking about him at all but antawn jamison is UFA. I would pursue him before Lewis. The dude actually played well last year and hits 3's
