Id love to have jet. I'm a big fan of his watching him play for dallas. He can definitely hit the big shot.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
After they lose out on D.Will/J.Kidd (since they're allegedly want to play together with Kidd backing him up), they'll prob re-up JET. I'm fine with that, having no guards over 6'2" sounds not so good to me.

If Ray Allen is gone, my favourite player for his replacement is Jason Terry. He is a veteran, he have experience,I always liked Jason Terry.

If Ray donĀ“t stay, my preferences are:

 - Terry
 - Mayo
 - Young
 - Louis

Jet a Celtic? Yes, please.

He's the perfect 6th man for this team. He's instant offense off the bench. He was the second best player on the Mavs when they won the title. He's a good locker room guy. He's $$$ in big games to.

What is not to like?

I'm on board with Terry.  I'd prefer Ray, just because we could use Bird rights to re-sign him and still have our MLE.  However, if that's not possible, Terry is a good fall-back option.

Biggest fear is we lose out on all the big targets and also ray...then have to settle for a guy off the scrap heap that is not up to par

even if he is 6'2, unlike ray Terry can create his own shot. hes instant offense off the bench...if ray leaves, my preference would be

Terry
Mayo
Crawford

Honesty dont think Boston gets any of those three. Think it will be nick young...and I would rather keep ray over nick young

I think we've got a good chance to get crawford or Mayo....Jet I think stays with dallas.

from what I understand, as long as we stay 4million$ under the 70million we get the full $5million exception and $1.95...we likely would offer the full $5million to mayo/crawford

Someone will overpay for mayo and Crawford and price Boston right out of those guys. Danny is going to have to settle on shooting guard. I don't think there are any good ones out there better than ray if it comes to that

Terry (if we can afford him) would be a good replacement for Ray Allen.

Young is good shooter, but he's have to get under control/play defense  or else Doc and the vets would have his tail in a sling really fast.

What do you think he wants for a salary? I'm just afraid he wants he multi-year deal.

I rather have Mayo or Allen. If they are not avaible I'm fine by Terry but I don't wanna overpay a 35 year old guy who isn't a star.

Still he will be able to put up 10-14 ppg off the bench and I think he will fit well with our culture. He is a winner and total confident guy.

I'm on board with the pursuit of Terry.

One of the things the C's had going for them last year was chemistry. It elevated everybody's game.

In terms of chemistry and locker room presence, I think Terry would fit in best of all the backup SG's Danny is pursuing. He knows what it takes to win. Plus, he can handle the ball a bit and spell Rondo. 2 yrs/10 million would be awesome. C's are lucky that the SG market is pretty stocked.

Mayo, especially, makes me wary...

What?  Not a Von Wafer fan?

I've. Always been a Terry fan.  If he'll come short and cheap bring him on, but he seems like the kind of guy who'd prefer to stay put.
