I'd like to thank KG for returning in the fashion that he did. He took a 50% pay cut, no fanfare, didn't hold us hostage by being courted by half a dozen teams even though nobody would have blamed him, made the decision quickly enough so that Ray knew that the gang would be here waiting for him if he decided to come back, and allows Danny the freedom to work his magic.

He will go down in history as the greatest team player of all time not only on the court but off of it. His contract says that he gets paid 11 million...what a steal. Marc Gasol, Nene, and Tyson Chandler all got over 13M last year in free agency.

I really do think that the Miami game 6 "Let's go Celtics" chant sealed his decision that Boston is the only place he'd play and the emotional hug with Doc at the end of Miami game 7 sealed the fact that Doc is the only coach he'd play for.
